Bernhard Museum Complex is one of the area’s treasures that features costumed interpreters providing tours. Built in 1851, this history museum includes objects from Victorian life, including artifacts and furnishing and transports visitors to a simpler time. Gold County Museum provides free admission and focuses on the history of the California Gold Rush in Placer County.
